The EYELIKE Fundus camera is a unique product in the field of fundus imaging. It is basically old Samsung galaxy smartphones repurposed for fundus imaging and incorporated with AI to assist in diagnosis of retinal pathologies.On World Sight Day 2022, Samsung set a target to screen 150,000 people using EYELIKE camera by the end of 2023. Aravind Pondicherry will be one of the collaborating centres for this initiative.Given the large amount of e-waste generated every year, more products like the EYELIKE camera are the need of the hour.
